Description: 

The Regional Municipality of Halton requires a review of the potential impacts on the housing market of a Vacant Home Tax (VHT) in Halton Region.  Understanding that Halton is a two-tiered municipality, analysis and reporting will be required on the impact in each lower tier municipality (towns of Halton Hills, Milton, Oakville and the city of Burlington) recognizing the urban/ rural nature of the individual city and towns, the different growth patterns planned and potential for future growth.
